Opening of the Gibraltar Walking Trail – this Sunday 15 April

The Gibraltar Walking Trail will be officially opened this Sunday 15th April by the ACT Chief Minister … as part of the annual Tidbinbilla Extravaganza.  The track will be opened about 11am.

This has been a fantastic project for Makin Trax, started back in November.  The 3km trail creates a route from the base to the upper reaches of Gibraltar Rocks and takes the walker on a journey of discovery, showing new views and highlighting features that were not seen before the trail was constructed.  The jewel in the crown is the wonderful view near the top, taken in from a specially designed viewing platform.
